James L. Kyle, MD, MDiv
Medical Director, Quality, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Dr. James L. Kyle is a native of Los Angeles, California.  He is a graduate of Loma Linda University with a BA in Religion, Andrews University Theological Seminary for his Master of Divinity, and UCLA School of Medicine, where he completed his MD degree and Internal Medicine residency.

During his career he has served as a pastor, administrator, educator and an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps. He is the former Dean of the Loma Linda University School of Public Health and has occupied multiple leadership roles at the Charles R. Drew University in South Los Angeles.

Dr. Kyle is also an ordained minister and pastors a church in Glendale California. He and his wife, Joyce, have two great sons. He is thrilled to be here at LA Care and looks forward to making an impact for the vulnerable populations we serve.

Darrell W. Harrington, M.D., MPH, MACP
Professor of Medicine
David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA

Director of Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, his offices provide support and oversight for more than 500 trainees in fifty-one of its sponsored residency and fellowship programs.
Dr. Harrington currently serves as a member of the Normandie Avenue health ministry team.

Dr. Eric Walsh is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and the Loma Linda University School of Public Health, where he received his masters and doctorate in public health. He has served 2 US presidents (George W. Bush and Barak Obama) as an advisor on HIV/AIDS. Dr. Walsh has served at several churches in southern California as an associate pastor.

 

Lydia I. Gilbert-McClain, MD, FCCP

Dr. Lydia Gilbert-McClain is a pulmonologist (lung specialist) and Critical Care Medicine physician. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Gilbert-McClain  is an accomplished leader in regulatory science and drug development with over 21 years of experience in government at the NIH and the FDA. She was the deputy division director in the pulmonary review division at  the FDA for the last 10 years prior to her departure in 2018. She continues clinical practice as a critical care physician at a community hospital in Maryland and is a consultant for the development of therapeutics for pulmonary conditions. Dr. Gilbert-McClain is an ordained local Elder and an active member of the Capitol Hill SDA in Washington, DC.
